A simple demonstration of this experiment can be done in a changing room, a barbershop or a house of mirrors, where you might find this parallel mirror setup. The added twist in this experiment is the use of a One-way mirror, which is partially reflective and partially transparent. What this means is that when one side of the mirror is brightly lit and the other is dark, it allows viewing from the darkened side but not vice versa. This means that for someone looking from the brighter side, the mirror works as a mirror, but for someone looking in from the darkened side, the mirror works as a transparent glass. This way, we don't need to be between the two mirrors to observe this effect.
Now, when two mirrors are parallel to each other, light can bounce from one to other infinite times, at least theoretically. Therefore, infinite images of the subject can be produced in either mirrors. By placing the mirrors in a certain angle, we can observe the tunnel effect that is created because of the light that is bouncing back and forth between the mirrors at an angle.
