The interesting thing about it is that unlike normal ice, it doesn't melt into a liquid,instead it directly turns into gas by a process known as sublimation. When we put some warm water in the dry ice, it raises the temperature faster and out rushes CO2 gas and water vapour. I'm sure you know how to make bubbles with liquid dishwashing soap-water solution and a straw. To make dry ice bubbles, we use the same technique, but instead of using air to blow our bubbles, we use the gas coming out of the bottle. This gas gets trapped into the soap solution film, forming translucent bubbles. These bubbles are slightly different than the normal air bubbles because CO2 is trapped inside and that's heavier than air.
This is clearly seen in the last part of our experiment - in a dry ice tank, the air bubbles float and dry ice bubbles sink.
